Hola! Iβm Melina, a freelance creative artist who has worn many hats in both fashion & food media spaces over the last 17 years. Originally a journalism student with the dream of becoming a food critic, I found my passion for visual storytelling when I switched my major to retail and consumer science. My first focus was exclusively on fashion styling, but food + prop styling quickly followed. Iβve since expanded my skill set throughout a wide range of creative production including art direction, model casting, location scouting, curating on-set talent, production, as well as social strategy with my girl tribe @GirlsWhoDressBoys.
My approach to every project is collaborative which is very important to me. My aesthetic is influenced + inspired by my love for menswear, collegiate sports, cultural history, art, music, and sharing a meal with my community...oftentimes served on a colorful plate or bowl thrown in my home pottery studio, Honey Lain.
I've never been one to stay in one lane and I'm always on the lookout for the next creative venture. Let's collaborate soon!
